Longtime San Franciscans Celso Dulay and Chris Knight have co-produced GNews!, “where you get all your gay in just one day,” as a labor of love from their home studio in the upper Haight since 2014. They originally distributed the show on YouTube. Dulay studied broadcast media at City College in San Francisco, and he was a student there when he and Knight first met in the fall of 2007. The following year, the duo married on October 30, 2008, several days before Prop H-8 went into effect, ceasing any further same-sex marriages in California. However, like about 18,000 same-sex couples in California, they became “special-class” citizens and have remained legally married for more than a decade. After facing LGBTQ+ discrimination and censorship by YouTube (Google), they decided to launch their own GlitterBombTV website in spring 2019.
